Bobbysocks biography

Bobbysocks is a Norwegian pop duo best known for winning the Eurovision Song Contest in 1985 with their hit song «La det swinge» (Let it swing). The group was formed in 1984 and consisted of Hanne Krogh and Elisabeth Andreassen, two accomplished singers with solo careers prior to joining forces.

Hanne Krogh, already a well-established artist and actor in Norway, and Elisabeth Andreassen, who had gained great fame in Sweden, combined their talents to create a dynamic duo with a unique blend of 50s-inspired pop and contemporary sound. Their victory at Eurovision catapulted them to international fame, and «La det swinge» became a big hit and charted across Europe.

Following their Eurovision success, Bobbysocks released several albums, including the number one single and album «Waiting for the Morning».
The duo split in the late 1980s but has occasionally reunited for special performances and events.

Bobbysocks remains a beloved symbol of Norwegian pop music and is fondly remembered for their high-energy performances, distinctive harmonies, and the feel-good vibes they brought to audiences across Europe.

In 2025 Hanne and Elisabeth is back as Bobbysocks to perform i the norwegian heat for Eurovision Song Contest with their own composition «Joyful». In May they will celebrate the 40th anniversary with a big show in Oslo!
